Seventh day slump

I hope everyone had a good Christmas. I was pretty wiped out the days before Christmas from the treatment and the Neulasta shot. The bone pain lasted longer this time and the Loritab didn't really touch it. I took more Loritab this time than the last couple of times. I was still sore on Friday when we went to Mom's family's Christmas on Christmas eve. I think she had warned people that I was sore because several people offered NOT to hug me. But it had been a while since we had all got together and I missed everyone so much... so I just bit my lip and hugged away! It was well worth it. :) We had a great time and the food was amazing!! I had took a zofran before I got there so I got to eat plenty. My energy held up for several hours and we were able to stay a while.

Me and my cousin Levi - both sporting the bald look. :)

We had a relaxing Christmas morning, just me and my parents. Our traditional opening presents after "Santa" comes. :) It was a little more low-key this year, no real big gifts, but we were all okay with that. Mom did surprise me and get me this gorgeous LBD (little black dress) from BMoss online. It's lace and something you'd save for special occasions. I wasn't expecting it at all... and I burst into tears. It just hit me that I can't be bald and wear a dress that beautiful. Even though I had loved it, I couldn't see myself in it. Not now. But she insists that we save it and that I will wear it.

We had our Christmas dinner with Dad's family. It was alright. I couldn't taste the food that well. Or maybe I was still full from the day before! That night I got really sore, my whole body was hurting. I just took another pain pill and went to bed. The snow after Christmas was great but I didn't feel brave enough to go out in it. I was afraid it would cause me to hurt again and I was just starting to feel good. So I spent the rest of the week hibernating. Reading, watching tv, and playing with the cats.

It's been a week since my treatment and overall, it went pretty well. The past few days I have felt great. Considering I had my treatment a week ago, it was great. I've done yoga the past few mornings... just to feel my body move and breathe and know that I'm not just laying around here. I got on the treadmill a couple of days and worked up to jogging for like a minute yesterday before I came to my senses. I got carried away with the music, "Dog Days are Over" by Florence and the Machine. Great song to move to.

Anyway, today marks one week since the treatment. For the third time now, I have felt good up until the seventh day and then today comes along and just wipes me out. Today was an awful migraine that my meds wouldn't touch which leads to the nausea, weak, and icky feeling. So my plan to head back to my place was once again postponed for another day which means another day of work lost. Oh well, I spent part of today in bed in pain. Not much I can do about it. I'll head back tomorrow.
